Hitachi L300P Series Inverter

The Hitachi L300P AC Inverter is a highly advanced VF Inverter designed for most general purpose applications such as the building services sector for heating, air conditioning and ventilation control. The L300P has opened new possibilities for AC inverters in the HVAC market.

The L300P is one of the most compact drives in its class, but offers a huge array of features which are normally expected in more expensive units, such as PID control as standard, RS485 communications, automatic energy saving, the ability to catch a
spinning motor and slip compensation which makes the L300P more advanced than most VF Inverters.

The L300P is ideal for meeting energy saving requirements in applications such as fans and pumps,
typically found in the HVAC industry. Such applications often involve the use of continuous full speed
duty cycles unnecessarily. The installtion of an Hitachi L300P makes it possible to vary the speed of
the fan or pump thus saving enormous amounts of energy. In fact, the L300P comes as standard with
power consumption recorded within the drive and displayed as kWh.

While the L300P is ideal for stand alone motor control applications, Hitachi has addressed the potential
for the products in systems by incorporating as standard PID control and RS422/RS485 communications. There are seven inputs of which five are programmable, three programmable relay outputs and a
dedicated thermistor input terminal. Access to the terminal rails is by removing the lower front case.
There is also the option of a variety of fieldbus communications.

Speed setting is either via the potentiometer on the front of the L300P or by external analogue or digital
signals. A removable keypad with LED display comes as standard and is used for programming. The L300P has advanced protection sensing circuits and there are alarms for overcurrent, over voltage, under
voltage, over temperature, overload, ground fault and so forth. Automatic voltage regulation is included
for output voltage control.

The L300P is a truly global product and carries UL and CSA approvals as well as being CE certified for
low voltage and EMC Directives. The Hitachi L300P Inverter is available from 1.5kW to 132kW in the
Three Phase 400V class and all sizes are immediately available from Silverteam and our distribution
networks stock.
